Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 5,600 students named to the Spring 2018 Dean's List. Students enrolled at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.
Dr. Anita K. Bowles, Vice President for Academic Affairs, is pleased to announce the students included on the Dean's List for grades earned during the spring 2018 academic semester. Dean's List students have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Coastal Carolina University's held a commencement ceremony for an estimated 390 candidates for graduation Aug. 4, 2017, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. In his remarks, commencement speaker John Hutchens, biology professor and ecologist, encouraged graduates to take time in the future to interact with nature and with other people. "In today's high tech world we are often racing along at breakneck speed, but being outside slows you down and allows you to experience the rhythms of nature," said Hutchens. "You can actually hear yourself think and you can be a part of something bigger than yourself."

Nominations are based on strength of character, academic achievement, military achievement, leadership, campus activities and participation and excellence in athletics at the varsity, intramural or club sport level.
Newberry College seniors received their college ring in a ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 20 in Wiles Chapel while parents and friends watched. The day drew inspiration from speaker and class of 1970, Mrs. Mandy Randall, who spoke of her days at Newberry College and what the class ring means to her as a Newberry College alumnae. College President Maurice Scherrens and College Board of Managers Dan Koon presented the students with their rings.
